Symbolic gestures
Handfasting
An old Celtic tradition which symbolises the coming together as you as a couple. This is where the phrase "tying the knot" comes from.
Sand ceremony
This symbolises the mixing of families where they will never be separated.
Quaich
This is a Scottish tradition that when you share the quaich you put your trust in each other.
About me
Hi I'm Raymond, my very first ceremony was when friends asked me to conduct theirs and as the old saying goes the rest is history. I have now been conducting ceremonies for over 12 years.
I love being involved in weddings and getting to know couples and helping them to make their day special and all they imagined it to be.
My aim is to create a ceremony which is personal, funny, relaxed and all about you as a couple.
As an independent celebrant you can have whatever you want in your ceremony which can include any religious aspects, poems, readings, the list is endless.

All my ceremonies are legal as I receive my licence from National Records Scotland.
